Your Right to Data Deletion
At Invoice Maker, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your personal information from our systems.
In accordance with data protection regulations including GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to request that we delete your personal data at any time.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove the following information:
- Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile details
- Business Information: Company name, address, tax IDs, and other business details
- Invoice Data: All invoices, quotations, and documents you created
- Client Information: Customer names, addresses, and contact details you stored
- Settings and Preferences: Your customization settings and preferences
- Usage Data: Activity logs and analytics data associated with your account
Note: Some data may be retained for legal or regulatory compliance (e.g., tax records) as required by law. This data will be anonymized where possible.
How to Request Data Deletion
You have two options to delete your data:
Option 1: Self-Service Account Deletion (Recommended)
You can delete your account and all associated data directly from your account settings:
- Log in to your Invoice Maker account
- Navigate to Settings → Account Settings
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
- Your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
⚡ Fastest method - Takes effect immediately
Option 2: Email Deletion Request
If you cannot access your account, you can email us to request data deletion:
Send an email to:
privacy@onlineinvoicemaker.com
Include in your email:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Brief statement confirming you want to delete your data
- Any additional verification information we may request
⏱️ Processing time: We will respond within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days
Deletion Timeline
Immediate (Day 0)
Your account is deactivated and you can no longer log in
Within 24 hours
Your data is marked for deletion and removed from active systems
Within 30 days
All data is permanently deleted from our servers and backups
Important Information
⚠️ This Action is Permanent
Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please download any invoices or documents you need before requesting deletion.
📋 Legal Retention Requirements
Some information may be retained for legal, regulatory, or compliance purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance). This data will be anonymized and kept only as long as legally required.
🔄 Third-Party Data
If you signed in using a third-party service (like Google), you may also want to revoke Invoice Maker's access from your third-party account settings.
Identity Verification
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. This may include:
- Confirming account ownership via email verification
- Answering security questions
- Providing additional information to prove account ownership
Before You Delete: Export Your Data
Before requesting deletion, you may want to export your data:
- Log in to your account
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy
- Click "Export My Data"
- You'll receive a download link with all your invoices and data
