Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Create a Razorpay Account
Go to dashboard.razorpay.com/signup and create a free account. Complete KYC verification by submitting your PAN card, business registration document (GST certificate, Udyam, or shop license), and bank account details. Verification typically takes 1-2 business days.
Generate API Keys
In your Razorpay dashboard, navigate to Settings → API Keys. Click Generate Key to create your Key ID (starts with rzp_test_ or rzp_live_) and Key Secret. Save both — the Key Secret is shown only once.
Configure in Invoice Maker
Log in to your dashboard, go to Settings → Payments. Select Razorpay as your payment provider. Paste your Key ID and Key Secret, then click Save Payment Settings.
Set Up Webhooks
Copy the webhook URL shown in your payment settings. In your Razorpay dashboard, go to Settings → Webhooks, click Add New Webhook, paste the URL, and select payment.captured as the active event. Set a webhook secret for additional security.
Test with Test Mode
Create a test invoice while using test mode API keys. Click the payment link and use Razorpay's test card 4111 1111 1111 1111 or test UPI ID success@razorpay to simulate payments. Verify the invoice updates to "Paid".
Go Live
Once testing is successful, switch to live API keys in Settings → Payments. Your invoices will now include a real "Pay Now" button that accepts UPI, cards, net banking, and wallets from your customers across India.
