Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Connect Your DocuSign Account

Log in to your dashboard, go to Integrations, and click Connect DocuSign. You will be redirected to DocuSign to authorize via OAuth. Grant permission for Online Invoice Maker to create envelopes and manage templates on your behalf.

Configure Signature Placement

Define where signing fields appear on your invoice template. Common placements include a Signature field near the total amount, a Date Signed field, and an Initials field on each page for multi-page invoices. You can use the visual editor to drag and drop fields.

Set Up Your Signing Workflow

Configure the signing order: single signer (customer only), sequential (your team signs first, then customer), or parallel (multiple signers at once). Set up automatic reminder emails for unsigned documents — after 3 days, 7 days, or custom intervals.

Send an Invoice for Signature

From any invoice or quotation preview, click Send for Signature. The PDF is packaged into a DocuSign envelope with your configured signing fields and sent to the customer. They receive an email from DocuSign with a link to review and sign.

Track Signing Status

Monitor the status of all sent documents in your dashboard: Sent, Viewed, Signed, or Declined. When the customer signs, the completed PDF with audit trail syncs back to Online Invoice Maker and the invoice status updates to Approved.
