Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Connect Your Google Account

Log in to your dashboard, go to Integrations, and click Connect Google Sheets. Sign in with your Google account and grant permission for Online Invoice Maker to create and edit spreadsheets in your Google Drive.

Create or Select a Spreadsheet

Choose whether to create a new Google Sheet or connect to an existing one. New sheets come pre-configured with columns for invoice number, date, customer, items, tax, total, and payment status. If you select an existing sheet, map your columns in the next step.

Configure Export Fields

Select which invoice fields to export. Common fields include invoice number, issue date, due date, customer name, email, line item details, subtotal, tax breakdown, discount, shipping, total amount, currency, and payment status. Reorder columns to match your reporting preferences.

Set Your Sync Frequency

Choose how often data syncs: Real-time (new invoices appear within minutes), Hourly (batch updates every hour), or Daily (overnight sync). Real-time is recommended for businesses that share live sheets with accountants or bookkeepers.

Run the Initial Export

Click Export All to populate the sheet with your existing invoices. Select a date range or export everything. Historical data fills the sheet in minutes, and from then on, new invoices sync automatically based on your chosen frequency.
