Auto-Backup Invoices to Google Drive

Invoices are saved in a structured folder hierarchy: Online Invoice Maker > Invoices > [Year] > [Month]. Each file is named with the invoice number and customer name (e.g. INV-042_AcmeCorp.pdf). Quotations follow the same structure in a separate Quotations folder.

Yes. Once connected, every invoice and quotation you create or finalize is automatically saved to Google Drive as a PDF. You do not need to manually upload or export anything. Backup happens within seconds of invoice creation.

Yes. The integration works with both personal Google accounts and Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) accounts. For business users, invoices can be saved to shared team drives so multiple team members can access them.

Yes. Since invoices are stored in Google Drive, you can share the entire invoice folder with your accountant or bookkeeper using standard Google Drive sharing. They get read-only or edit access based on your preference, and new invoices appear automatically.

Very little. A typical invoice PDF is 50-150 KB. Even if you create 1,000 invoices per year, that is only about 100-150 MB of storage. Google Drive free accounts include 15 GB, so invoice storage is negligible.

Yes. Google Drive indexes PDF content, so you can search for invoices by customer name, invoice number, amount, or any text on the invoice. This makes finding old invoices instant, even across thousands of files.

All previously saved invoices remain in your Google Drive — nothing is deleted. New invoices will simply stop being backed up. You can reconnect at any time and future invoices will resume syncing. There is no retroactive sync for invoices created while disconnected.

Yes. During setup, you can select an existing Google Drive folder or create a new one. The integration will create the year/month subfolder structure inside your chosen root folder. You can change the target folder at any time in Settings.

By default, only finalized (sent or marked as final) invoices are backed up to save storage and avoid clutter. You can enable draft backup in your integration settings if you want every invoice version saved.

Yes. We use Google OAuth 2.0 and only request permission to create and manage files in the specific folder you designate. We cannot read your other Google Drive files, emails, or any other Google services. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings.
