Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Connect Your Dropbox Account
Log in to your Invoice Maker dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations, and click Connect Dropbox. You will be redirected to Dropbox to authorize access. We use OAuth 2.0 — your Dropbox password is never shared with us.
Choose Your Folder
After authorization, select the folder where invoice PDFs will be saved. The default is /Apps/OnlineInvoiceMaker/. You can change this to any existing folder in your Dropbox, like /Business/Invoices/.
Configure File Organization
Choose how your invoices are organized. Options include Year/Month folders (recommended for tax preparation), By Customer (one folder per client), or Flat (all files in one folder). Select your preferred PDF naming format as well.
Sync Existing Invoices (Optional)
If you already have invoices in Online Invoice Maker, click Export All to Dropbox to do a one-time sync. This generates PDFs for all existing invoices and uploads them to your chosen folder. Depending on volume, this may take a few minutes.
Verify and Share
Open your Dropbox folder and verify the invoices are there. Consider sharing the folder with your accountant or bookkeeper using Dropbox's built-in sharing. They will automatically receive new invoices as they are created — no manual effort needed.
