Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Create a Make Account
Go to make.com/register and sign up for a free account. The free tier includes 1,000 operations per month — enough to automate hundreds of invoices.
Get Your Invoice Maker API Key
Log in to your Invoice Maker dashboard, navigate to Settings → API Keys, and generate a new key. Copy it — you will need it in the next step.
Create a New Scenario in Make
In your Make dashboard, click Create a new scenario. Add a trigger module — this could be a Webhook (to receive events from other apps), a Schedule (to run on a timer), or an app-specific trigger like Stripe → Watch Events or Google Sheets → Watch Rows.
Add the HTTP Request Module
Click the + button after your trigger and add HTTP → Make a request. Set the URL to https://www.onlineinvoicemaker.com/api/v1/invoices, method to POST, and add your API key in the Authorization header. Map the invoice fields from your trigger data.
Test and Activate Your Scenario
Click Run once to test the scenario. Verify that an invoice appears in your Invoice Maker dashboard. Once confirmed, click the scheduling toggle to activate your scenario. Make will now automate your invoicing workflow 24/7.
